Cheesy Volcano Mac & Cheese

Ingredients


400g El Real Elbow Macaroni

½ cup butter

¼ cup flour

2 cups milk

½ cup cream

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup processed cheese, grated

Salt and pepper

¼ cup processed cheese spread

1 cup Japanese breadcrumbs

¼ cup parsley, chopped

Directions


Step 1: Lutuin ang El Real Elbow Macaroni according to package directions. Drain and and set aside.

Step 2: In a pot, melt half the butter until it bubbles lightly. Saka lang i-whisk in ang flour, removing clumps. Cook until golden brown and fragrant. Stir in milk and cream. Let it simmer gently at hinaan ang init.

Step 3: Add half the mozzarella and grated cheese. Haluin hanggang matunaw.

Step 4: Toss in El Real pasta and season with salt and pepper. Remove pot from heat.

Step 5: Preheat oven to 200°C.

Step 6: In a bowl, make the grated cheese and cheese spread mixture. Set aside. In another bowl, combine remaining butter with breadcrumbs and parsley.

Step 7: In an oven-proof container, i-layer ang kalahati ng pasta. Then layer the cheese spread mixture to create the volcano center. Seal with remaining pasta. Evenly top with breadcrumbs mixture and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 8: Let cool and serve. Enjoy!
